Accentize have releases 2 DeRoom plugins, DeRoom 2 and DeRoom Pro 2.
As Accentize recently did with VoiceGate, the underlying algorithms have been completely re-worked. They now achieve a far more accurate de-reverberation especially for larger rooms with long reverb tails. The improvements could be achieved by optimising the layout of the neural network and feeding in even more example recordings.
The upgrade is free for all DeRoom/DeRoomPro license owners.
DeRoom 2
DeRoom is a Machine-Learning based audio plug-in to reduce or remove reverb and room resonances in real-time. An artificial neural network has been trained on many different room scenarios in order to be able to separate direct sound from reflection components. Reverb tails and echos are automatically detected and then precisely suppressed or if desired entirely removed. DeRoom is perfectly suited to increase the quality and intelligibility of speech which has been recorded in very reverberant environments.
DeRoom will instantly improve dialogue which has been recorded in a sub-optimal environment and can immensely increase the perceived speech quality. No matter whether the speaking person is recorded in a living room or even a huge church – the room echo and reverb will be analysed and automatically eliminated!
No need to estimate and set room timing constants by hand. The algorithm will figure it out internally in an automatic fashion. Only set the reduction amount and let the neural network remove the unwanted reverb.
DeRoom Pro 2
DeRoom Pro is a Machine-Learning based reverb removal audio plug-in built for professional use. An artificial neural network has been trained on many different room scenarios in order to be able to separate direct sound from reflection components. The real-time processing scheme provides instantaneous feedback while changing parameters and allows seamless integration into your workflow without having to switch applications.
All signal components which result from sub‑optimal recording conditions are automatically detected and removed. The de‑reverberation can significantly improve the perceived speech quality and intelligibility. No matter if recorded in an acoustically untreated recording room or even in a large church, DeRoom Pro will fix your recording.
The second generation of DeRoom Pro features an improved filtering algorithm which provides a higher accuracy when detecting room reflections. Especially noticeable when using with recordings in larger rooms with long reverb tails.
The DeRoom Pro algorithm automatically estimates the optimal room-size settings. During the training phase the neural network has listened to a great variety of different room conditions and can now automatically apply the required filtering.
Choose between two different visualization modes to directly see how DeRoom Pro is affecting the signal. While the Waveform view shows the broadband energy, the Spectrogram view allows you to observe different frequency components.
