72% Off The Venus Symphonic Women’s Choir By Soundiron

VSTBuzz are offering 72% off the Venus Symphonic Women’s Choir by Soundiron, now only €99.00 (usually €353.00).

With Venus Symphonic Women’s Choir, Soundiron took everything they learned from engineering, developing and programming previous choir projects over the years at Tonehammer (Requiem, Liberis) and applied them here.

This library includes pure vowels, classic Latin and Slavonic (Orthodox Russian) content, as well as a large collection of choral effects (shouts, sweeps, clusters, drones, whispers and more).

It also includes 2 mic positions (stage and hall) so composers have the flexibility to incorporate the brilliant, natural sound of Venus easily into their mix. Venus has risen in the night sky, to join her men’s choral counterpart, The Mars Symphonic Men’s Choir.

Soundiron spent 10 days in their favourite church recording the 33-voice women’s chorus, featuring top notch talent from Volti, SF Symphony Chorus and the SF Choral Society, capturing all of the delicate nuances of the female human voice. Venus is all about power, clarity and fluidity.

Venus also features 5 soloists, including 3 altos and 2 sopranos. They had each vocalist cover many of the same primary articulations as the full choir, along with improvised melodic phrases and hybrid staccato/marcato notes, while focusing on areas uniquely suited for each voice.

Using 12 large-diaphragm Neumann microphones in a carefully-placed and wide multi-position array, Soundiron meticulously recorded nearly 40 solid hours of ensemble and solo articulations, using specialised techniques, intuition and theory to provide them the raw, fundamental building-blocks that this great library has been constructed from.

From the start, they wanted Venus to be a companion to Mars, so when the two are used in tandem, composers would have access to the most powerful and complete virtual choral solution available anywhere.

Lastly, they’ve designed a full compliment of ambient soundscapes, pads, drones and other effects, derived entirely from the choral content captured for Venus.

They’ve also included a variety of custom convolution reverb impulses that they captured at the Montclair chapel and various other fascinating locations they’ve recorded at over the years, along with a collection of experimental effect impulses that can impart deeply strange and often mind-bending acoustic results.

Features include:

  • 26.7 GB installed, 25,730 samples
  • 24bit/48kHz stereo PCM wav samples (non-unencrypted)
  • 406 Kontakt nki patches (unlocked)
  • 120 Kontakt nkm multi-instrument patches for easy 5.1 mixing
  • Bonus collection of 150 custom convolution reverb impulses
  • Powerful custom performance and FX control interface
