Hardware Giants Noise Engineering Have Released 3 New Plugins

Modular hardware giants Nouse Engineering have released three new plugins to add to their range of plugins.

Basimilus Iteritas

Enjoy Basimilus Iteritas with polyphony, internal modulation, extensive MIDI capabilities, and the ease of in-the-box automation and recall.

Basimilus Iteritas is an additive/FM synthesizer inspired by analog percussion synthesis. Synthesizing unique percussion is a breeze: thumping kicks, snappy snares, hats, snaps, and claps are all just a few tweaks away with Basimilus Iteritas. But it does so much more! The straightforward controls make creating almost any type of sound simple, including leads, ambient chirps, basses and more.

Basimilus Iteritas makes 6-operator FM and additive synthesis easy with simple harmonic distribution controls, oscillator morphing, and our signature wavefolder. And with the included library of presets, you can quickly find the sounds you need without touching a single fader.

Features include:

  • Use the Random button to generate new patches in one click
  • Easy to automate, user-friendly controls. No prior synthesis experience needed, but synth enthusiasts will also be excited by the simple-yet-powerful interface
  • Inspired by the popular Eurorack module: bridge the gap between the sounds of modular and your DAW production
  • Complex internal modulation (LFOs + Macros)
  • Easy-to-use MIDI learn on all parameters
  • Complex MIDI mappings include velocity and polyphonic aftertouch
  • Library of 1,000+ presets included
  • AAX, AU, VST®

Cursus Vereor

Enjoy Cursus Vereor with powerful modulation controls, extensive MIDI capabilities, and in-the-box ease of automation and sequencing.

Cursus Vereor is a synthesizer that creates its sounds by dynamically generating oscillator waveforms. Use Cursus Vereor for sounds that are gentle, harsh, melodic, distorted, or anything in between. Cursus Vereor features an ADSR envelope with curve shaping and a dynamics section featuring a VCA and a lowpass gate plus a vintage-inspired chorus.

Cursus Vereor excels at chords and pads, as well as gentle leads and hard-hitting basses. It can sound almost acoustic in nature, or harsh and edgy with the help of the wavefolder and oversampling. With simple and intuitive controls, Cursus Vereor makes it easy to design patches for your projects – or quickly find the perfect sound with the included library of presets.

Features include:

  • Unique sound generation algorithms: dynamically create unique timbres with a set of simple parameters, then wavefold, oversample, and shape their dynamics
  • User-friendly controls designed for automation make sound creation a breeze
  • Inspired by the popular Eurorack module: bridge the gap between the sounds of modular and your DAW production
  • Use the Random button to generate new patches in one click
  • Easy to automate, user-friendly controls. No prior synthesis experience needed, but synth enthusiasts will also be inspired by the simple-yet-powerful interface
  • Complex internal modulation (LFOs + Macros)

Desmodus

Noise Engineering’s Desmodus is a tail-generator reverb designed for creativity.

Desmodus is a reverb unlike any other, and now it’s here in plugin format. A synthetic tail-generator that was developed to create unusual spaces and alien atmospheres, Desmodus will be an incredible addition to your plugin library. If you like infinite spaces that go on forever and want your reverb to be an instrument as much as any other element in your project, this is the reverb for you.

Desmodus has three algorithms: clean, distorted, and a pitch-shifting shimmer. It’s also designed to be automated: reverb doesn’t have to be a static sound, it can be its own voice. It also includes features from our Electus Versio module, enabling clock-synced echoes and predelay. Add to that a comprehensive modulation system, feedback filtering, and variable delay spacing and you have a reverb that’s designed for creativity and exploration.

Features include:

  • Unusual reverb architecture designed for infinite feedback and eternal atmospheres
  • Designed for automation: three interpolation modes let you play your reverb like an instrument
  • Three reverb modes: clean, distorted, and pitch-shifting shimmer
  • Inspired by the popular Eurorack module: bridge the gap between the sounds of modular and your DAW production
  • Use the Random button to generate new patches in one click
