Voxengo Are Having A March Sale – Various Plugins Reduced

Save 30% on 4 of Voxengo’s most popular plugins this Spring including SPAN Plus analyser and Elephant limiter.

The products on offer include:

Voxengo Elephant

Voxengo Elephant is a mastering limiter AAX, AudioUnit and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications. The most remarkable feature of this signal limiter is its sonic transparency. Elephant brings sound limiting and loudness maximization without audible “fuzz” and “pumping” sonic artefacts.

Elephant is a highly competitive plugin for mastering applications: it features a variety of limiter modes that can be deeply customized, and a comprehensive set of level metering tools, including headroom estimation, EBU R128 and K-system metering.  Elephant’s built-in linear-phase oversampling is an important element in achieving high-quality peak limiting and loudness maximization without inter-sample overshoots.

Elephant limiter can be used for mixing and mastering of both stereo and multi-channel music and sound material, at any standard sample rate. Limiting process can be visualized both as gain reduction meter and real-time graph.

Elephant, also featuring a DC offset filter, and a high-quality bit-depth converter with an optional noise-shaping, allows you to finish your music and audio productions with a spark.

Voxengo TEOTE

TEOTE is an automatic spectral balancer AudioUnit, AAX, and VST plugin for professional music production applications.  It was designed to be a very useful tool for both mixing and mastering.  It automatically performs such tasks like gentle resonances removal, de-essing, tilt equalizing, usually performed during mixing and mastering.  In mixing, TEOTE sounds good on pretty much any material.

While by definition TEOTE is a dynamic equalizer, its technology is solely based on multi-band dynamics processing.  This allows TEOTE to have only minor phase issues, and to produce a subtle transient-emphasis effect associated with dynamics processing.  TEOTE tries to make the program material follow the specified spectral profile, tuned to the contemporary mastering standards by default.  It can be said that TEOTE “straightens” the frequency response, making further adjustments a lot easier; it removes a lot of repeating work.

Is TEOTE an AI plugin?  In a sense that AI usually boils down to a “curve-fitting task”, TEOTE is an AI plugin that performs gain adjustment decisions in a quantity equal to “SampleRate multiplied by BandCount” per second.  However, TEOTE does not use neural networks; it is based on an extremely-refined, completely predictable, curve-fitting function.

Voxengo PHA-979

PHA-979 is a professional audio AU and VST plugin which allows you to apply an arbitrary phase shift to sound material.  What is meant by the phase shift here is simultaneous shifting of all frequencies across the active frequency range of the signal by the given value in degrees.  This is achieved by linear-phase design.

PHA-979 is useful during mixing sessions, especially when working with the sound material recorded through an array of microphones.  In many cases this allows you to solve various phasing problems arising from the microphone placement chosen during the tracking session.  In other cases this process may help you to align drums and other instruments to each other bringing punch and time coherence not attainable by the ordinary time-aligning alone.

Beside the phase shifting, PHA-979 features positive and negative time delaying that eliminates the need to move in-track events in the sequencer when doing time alignment over any set of recorded tracks.  PHA-979 also provides mid/side channel balance and panning controls that permit you to record stereo microphone pairs into a single stereo track without resorting to dual mono recording (on separate tracks) which usually becomes time-consuming in a further editing.

PHA-979 features multi-band analog-style correlation meter that greatly simplifies phase- and time-aligning process.  Moreover, you can use functionality PHA-979 provides to setup headphone monitoring so that it closer resembles sound stage produced by stereo speaker monitoring.

Voxengo SPAN Plus

SPAN Plus is an extended real-time “fast Fourier transform” audio spectrum analyzer plug-in for professional music and audio production applications. SPAN Plus is available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST, and VST3 plug-in formats, for macOS and Windows computers.

SPAN Plus is an extended version of the freeware SPAN plug-in: SPAN Plus provides several additional features such as PNG file export, real-time spectrum import/export, static spectrums display, and a “wide” spectrum display.

SPAN Plus provides you with a very flexible “mode” system which you can use to set up your spectrum analyzer preferences.  You may specify Fourier block size in samples, FFT window overlap percentage, spectrum’s visual slope. Besides that, you can choose to display secondary spectrum of a desired type (e.g. real-time maximum, all-time maximum).  Spectrum can be smoothed out visually for an easier examination.

SPAN Plus supports multi-channel analysis and can be set to display spectrums from two different channels or channel groups at the same time.  Spectrum’s color can be chosen to taste.

SPAN Plus also features output level metering with adjustable ballistics and integration time, K-metering (including calibration K-metering).  SPAN Plus displays level metering statistics, headroom estimation, and clipping detection.  Correlation metering is available as well.
