Having recently taken over the code maintenance, Sonosaurus have released a public beta for the forthcoming iOS version of PaulXStretch, an app based on the PaulStretch algorithm (Paul’s Extreme Time Stretch), an app that has been requested by many iOS users. PaulXStretch is more than likely to remain FREE to download and use.
Paul’s Extreme Time Stretch was originally developed by Nasca Octavian Paul), and specifically the PaulXStretch version from Xenakios. The UI has been updated, adapted for various screen sizes, and built for the latest platforms.
PaulXStretch is designed for radical transformation of sounds. It is NOT suitable for subtle time or pitch correction. Ambient music and sound design are probably the most suitable use cases. It can turn any audio into hours or days of ambient soundscape, in an amazingly smooth and beautiful way.
Despite being free to download and use, donations are appreciated.
PaulXStretch is available to PC, Mac, iOS and Linux users (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX AUv3).
