Karoryfer Releases The Hster Library For Sforzando

Hster is a new library from Karoryfer Samples for Sforzando, it’s available at the intro price of  $19.00, increasing to $39.00 after the promotion. The offer ends August 15th.

Prehistoric phonetics for today’s music, this is a sample library of an opera mezzosoprano singing in the reconstructed Proto-Indo-European language spoken (and possibly also sung) in the Pontic steppe approximately 5000 years ago. Hster means star in that language, and  that is just one of the more than thirty Proto-Indo-European words she can sing.

Like our solo vocals in the Ewe language, this has true legato recorded for the vowels and round robins for the syllables. The big difference is that here there are only two vowels (e and o) and syllables have consonants both at the start and end. There is no a vowel, and together with the large consonant clusters that makes this vocal sound very different from the typical Latin sample library.

Hster requires the free Plogue Sforzando sampler which is available to PC and Mac users.
