Rast Sound have released Master Tanbur, a new edition to the Master series of libraries. Master Tanbur is an epic Middle Eastern string dating back 3500 years and is available at the intro price of €29.00, increasing to €49.00 after the promotion. The offer ends August 21st.
Master Tanbur was recorded with a master performers Mirac Nalkiran & Salih Kartal in Istanbul. The Tanbur library offers playable solo articulations, phrase plays and wealth of rare performances & patterns.
The term Tanbur can refer to various long-necked string instruments originating in Mesopotamia, Southern or Central Asia. Three figurines have been found in Susa that belong to 1500 BC, and in hands of one of them is a tanbur-like instrument.
