LHI Audio Release ST4b – A Multi-band Transient Shaper

LHI Audio have released ST4b, a multi-band transient shaper plugin, available for only £69.58 / €61.00.

If you’ve been underwhelmed by transient shapers or never found a use for them, this is the transient shaper for you. It gives you the ability to reshape sounds in ways that no other tools can, regardless of the genre you’re working in or whether your material is sampled or synthesized.

ST4b’s proprietary detection algorithm gives you control over even the fastest attacks – electronic drums, foley, raindrops, even single-sample impulses (if you’re so inclined). It’s precise enough that even the maximum boost or cut of 45dB sounds crisp and clean, and a smart auto-gain means you’re not constantly adjusting your gain staging. ST4b does it all with minimum CPU load and only 2 samples of latency.

Your ST4b license also includes ST1b, the same transient design algorithm but in a separate single-band plugin.

In addition to the standard transient boost and cut functionality, ST1b also includes the unique feature of “splitting” the signal into transient and body and routing them independently back into your DAW.

The transient splitting feature is currently only implemented for the CLAP, VST2, and VST3 versions of ST1b. The AU will follow suit later. Not all hosts support this capability – our research has shown that Bitwig, Ableton, FL (using Patcher), and REAPER have good support, with Bitwig notably having the best workflow.

ST4b is available to PC and Mac users (VST2, VST3, AUv2 CLAP).
