CHORIC – Coming Soon From Caelum Audio For Desktop & IOS Users – Join The iOS Beta

Hot on the heels of Roast Beef, the latest release from the guys at Caelum Audio and still available as a free download (for a limited time), Caelum Audio have just launched a public iOS beta test for CHORIC, their next desktop plugin and iOS app. Information about pricing and availability will published once it is known.

Choric is a different type of chorus effect. With up to 32 voices and random modulation, it can create massive, lush, and natural-sounding unison. With fewer voices and more traditional modulation shapes such as sine waves, it can be used to re-create more typical chorus sounds.

Using a range of parameters, Choric can be tweaked to your liking. These include typical parameters such as Rate and Depth but extend beyond this: Phase can be used to spread the modulation phase across the voices, Looseness spreads the voices out in time, and Spread pans the voices across the stereo image. With other features such as filtering and pitch shifting, Choric can reinvigorate sounds.

It’s not just a beautiful sounding modulating chorus effect with a lush UI, CHORIC has many diverse uses too. During my testing I was able to use CHORIC to transform the Concert Piano found in UVI’s Ravenscroft 275 to a steel drum – random!! CHORIC also has the ability to add lush tails to short sounds such as snares.

CHORIC will available to desktop and iOS users (VST3, AU, AAX and AUv3).
