What’s new in version 5.5.0
This version adds Vocal Tune Studio, an editor to correct pitch and time of vocal recordings, a unique feature in mobile apps. It features retune time, retune amount, volume and formant correction per note as well as vibrato controls. Vocal Tune Studio can detect the key and scale or they can be manually chosen. Notes or groups of notes can be time corrected.
Two modes are available that match the most common usages on desktop: one starting with all notes already quantized to the selected key/scale and the other one starting without pitch correction and features an additional pitch quantization slider.
Besides vocal pitch correction, it also features time correction (stretching and shrinking) on arbitrary points for any type of audio material.
This feature has been in development for over a year and the pitch detection and correction have been fine-tuned to provide the highest quality compared to desktop offerings that cost hundreds of euros/dollars.
To access Vocal Tune Studio, please double-tap an audio clip. An in-app purchase is required.
Other changes:
- A clip could accidentally move after zooming. Solved.
- When an audio sample was fully zoomed in, the waveform was displayed with its phase inverted. Solved.
- Rendering a track to an audio file is now limited to the track’s duration.
- AU MIDI on a plain MIDI track was not saved with the project. Solved.
- Sidechain did not work for some AUv3 effects. Solved.
- Added a work-around for Bleass effects not loading due to whitespace after their manufacturer name.
- Solved a crash/freeze that could occur when changing audio device while playing (inserting a USB audio interface etc.).
