Bird’s have releases Rolling Sampler, a sampler plugin that records audio playing which can then be highlighted and dragged to a product that accepts audio files (drag and drop). It’s available for $19.00.
Rolling Sampler doesn’t hog hard drive space, instead, the files are only created when you drag them out, everything else is kept in memory. By default the plugin will only keep the last 45 seconds of audio in memory. You can right click the plugin to change it up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
The UI is very minimalistic, the wav and the highlighted points to drag are all you need to see.
Rolling Sampler is available to PC, Mac and Linux users (VST3, AU and CLAP) and works as a standalone product too.
