Christian Krupa Releases The Tubes Of Metropolis – A FREE Sample Pack

Christian Krupa has released the Tubes of Metropolis, a sample pack containing 113 hand crafted samples made with home-made tube oscillators. Metropolis is available as a FREE download however you can also name your price to help future development of his sample packs.

Christian has used 2 simple ‘Crushed Glass’ style multivibrators + 1x Atari Punk Console style dual astable / monostable multivibrators) to create his pack.

Some are simply samples of either one, others while the two sets are interacting in unknown and mysterious ways (well, to my unscientific monkey brain anyway).

Christian packaged the samples into four folders to help roughly categorise them; OneShots. Rhythmic, Textures, and Tones. There is some crossover between those types, but he made quick choices and hopes they work for you.

This pack was made with the Audiobus forum’s second silent movie soundtrack project in mind (Metropolis 1927) and will be free for the duration of that project so that the contributors, or anyone else, can access them at will. After that, he may, or may not impose a mandatory low payment, perhaps supplement more samples, and perhaps tweak those already there if feedback suggest they need fixing in any way.

Later down the line, there will be more of these samples, and preset packs for Ableton, Serum, FRMS among other popular sample and wave based synths for all platforms.
