Yum Audio Offer Flux Light & Spread Light For FREE

Yum Audio have made Flux Light and Spread Light available as FREE downloads for a limited time. The offer ends February 28th.

Flux Light

LoFi Flux Light is the small version of Flux Machine, an instant classic effect that can be used to add appeal, life & character to any audio signal you feed into it. Flux Light’s intricate analogue-modelled tape warble gives you an easy solution to add some additional interest to any sound or instrument.

Yum Audio took their established virtual tape circuits and used them in a way that gives you full control over the behaviour and accuracy of the warble effect and add beautiful inconsistencies.

Features include:

  • Add variety, life & character to any audio signal you feed into it.
  • Analogue modelled Warble section for slow pitch changes.
  • Freely adjustable Warble Instability.
  • Two time modes – free-running or in sync with your session.
  • Jitter mode for fast random changes.
  • Slow mode for smooth fluctuations.

Warble makes the virtual tapes change very gradually and slowly in pitch and allows you to make signals more interesting in a subtle way. You have full control over the virtual tape, and can change the speed in sync to your session.

Warble Time allows you to set the overall time one cycle of the tape warbling takes. Depending on the mode this can be either set in milliseconds or synced to actual note values. You can go from long stretched out pitch variations to faster vibrato like modulation that can spice up any sound.

Warble Instability allows you to define how accurate or low-fidelity the warbling should be. With Instability increasing the movement of the tapes will morph from a pristine and constant quality to one with more errors and fluctuations that feels alive and evolving. There are Slow & Jitter modes included for different random variations of the tape movement.

Spread Light

Spread Light can be an indispensable tool, allowing you to narrow the stereo width of tracks or push them wider in mixing and mastering situations. Yum Audio have have also added 2 different processing modes, so you’ll be able to create some yummy mixes.

Features include:

  • Lightweight Stereo Utility.
  • Two different Stereo Processing Modes – M/S (Mid/Side) and Haas.
  • Different Pan and Widening behavior per mode.
  • Increase or reduce the width of your signal.
  • Pan every frequency area in the stereo field.
  • Width and Panning interact in a musical & natural way.
  • Intensity Slider to control overall Processing Amount.
  • Increase or Reduce the width of every Signal.

Spread Light’s intuitive visual panning UI gives you instant access to the width and stereo balance of your signal. Tilt and Width interact in a natural way, allowing you to position your sounds in the stereo field easily.

One Slider to rule them all! Use the Intensity slider to control the intensity of the complete effect. Like a wet/dry function, this scales the values of all other parameters in the plugin. At 100% the effect is fully active, at 0% all values are in default positions and the incoming signal is unchanged.

Control your mix by using the Mid/Side mode or use the included Haas Mode for a creative alternative to traditional panning & width adjustments. The Haas Effect makes your ear perceive sounds wider and positioned by letting them arrive at slightly different times in each ear.

Flux Light and Spread Light are available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
