A Huge Update For Copperhead By 4Pockets

4Pockets have updated Copperhead and it’s a biggie!! Copperhead is available for $11.99.

What’s new in version 1.04:

  • Added a velocity curve knob (long press Mono button)
  • Added a velocity controlled brightness knob (long press Mono button)
  • Added a second page to the FX screen with a Stereo Flanger and Stereo Phaser
  • Added a Bit Crusher effect to the FX screen
  • Added an option to bypass existing effects. Long press ‘FX’ button to toggle setting
  • Added Delay and Reverb Gate options to the sequencer. This allows you to control what notes go through these effects without effecting the effect trails
  • Modified delay so that higher mix settings include more dry signal to maintain volume
  • Added a note gate mode to the sequencer controllers. Overrides the fixed gate
  • The LFO2 frequency knob now goes up to 5KHz to generate AM/FM modulation of VCO’s
  • Added Flanger/Phaser option to Mod Wheel settings to control LFO position from mod wheel
  • Added Flanger and Phaser Mix options to the sequencer modulation list
  • Added Bit Crusher Downsampling to the sequencer modulation list
  • You can now define your own color schemes that can be saved/loaded/backed up etc. Long press main menu button
  • Init Patch now removes old file name and displays ‘Init Patch’ instead
  • Added the ability to import/export preset banks manually without drag and drop (long press the Create Bank button)
  • Finally fixed issue with delay not being heard after switching patches
  • Fixes the detuning issue after changing Sequencer mode to chord offsets
  • Fixed an issue where in standalone mode the beat position was not initialised properly causing no sound on rare occasions in the sequencer
  • When a scale is active, you can normally only play white notes. I have added an option that allows black notes to sound, only they are forced to the nearest note in the scale. You can change this option setting from the sequencer menu
  • Improved the note stealing algorithm to prioritise none pressed voice that are still sounding before killing off held notes
  • In standalone mode when the device is in portrait orientation, the whole interface is now visible
  • The String Machine now shows a waveform of the generated wavetable
  • Added the ability to select a noise type (white to pink noise)
  • Updated help with a table of all the CC controllers supported

About Copperhead

Copperhead is a digital subtractive synthesizer plugin which draws its influence from the vintage synthesizers of the early 80’s. It’s available for $11.99.

Copperhead has polyphony, a built-in arpeggiator, an a host of integrated effects. It features such as the ability to design custom waveforms, oscillator sync and various cross modulation modes. Cross modulation is a type of FM synthesis which can be used to morph simplistic waveforms into something far more aggressive and interesting.

At the heart of Copperhead are its two oscillators, which support all your traditional waveforms (SINE,SQR,SAW,TRI), as well as SuperSaw, Trapezium, and a user definable type. The app features pulse wave modulation for multiple sources, and the ability to sync oscillators.

The Voltage Controller Filter supports the usual LP, HP, BP and Notch filters, as well as a couple of unusual ones like Formant which allows you to sweep your cutoff to create interesting vowel sounds.

Copperhead also features twin LFO’s with random and one shot functionality. It also supports Cross, Ring and FM modulators, in addition to low and high shelf filters.

One of the great features is the integrated audio gate, which allows you to generate stuttering audio right out of the box. Combined with effects such as Chorus, Overdrive, Delay, Reverb and Auto Pan / Tremelo, and the ability to specify effect order, you have a lot of control over your sound.

If that wasn’t enough, we also include a 32 step sequencer, with various mono and poly modes with direct control control of various synth elements.

We have a built in Preset Manager which groups presets into banks and groups, which supports drag and drop for easy import/export of presets. You can also access your favourites from a special popup menu, or via the built in quick search facility.

Features include:

  • AUv3 compatible.
  • Up to 16 note polyphony.
  • 7 Oscillator wave types.
  • Sub Oscillator.
  • PW/PWM on SQR and TRP waveforms.
  • Supports SuperSaw with MIX and DETUNE.
  • XMod / Ring and FM modulations.
  • Osc Sync.
  • 6 types of VCF filter.
  • Low and High shelf on output.
  • Built in compressor.
  • Chorus, Delay, Overdrive, Reverb and Auto Pan effects.
  • Built in Audio Gate.
  • Preset Manager with Bank/Group/Preset section.
  • Supports drag and drop to import/export presets, groups and banks.
  • Supports web transfer of presets.
  • 32 step arpeggiator.
