Metasystems have updated MetaGrid Pro which now has some new cool features. MetaGrid is still available as a free download with various in-app purchases.
What’s new in version 1.3
- New
- Window Title Capturing – MetaGrid Pro can now capture the active window title of the application that is currently in focus on your computer and switch grids and scenes based on the text defined for each grid or scene. 💪
- Snapshots – The new Snapshots object will enable you to recall settings of many objects of different types and trigger multiple corresponding macros with a tap of a button.
- XY Pad (paid add-on) – MetaGrid Pro now enables you to add a XY pad to any grid enabling you to control selected CC parameters by changing the values on X/Y axis.
- Pads (paid add-on) – MetaGrid Pro now features the Pads object that enable you to trigger notes through different interfaces like pads, isometric pads and piano keyboard.

- You can now export buttons and various other bug fixes
IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to back up your data before update. We have successfully tested the migration on various test systems but it is better to be safe than sorry.

To enable the communication between MetaGrid Pro on your iPad and your computer, download MetaServer application from http://www.metasystem.io and run it on your computer.
The free version features 12 demo grids for popular applications and an empty 6 x 6 grid with fully editable buttons, which makes it a very useful and fully functional controller app. The disabled options include profile, scene and grid creation/editing, profile switching, flexible layout, OmniSpace profile, import/export, grid skins. To use these functions, upgrade to Premium as an in-app purchase option.
