iceWorks have released an update to Nambu, a 6-operator FM synthesizer. Nabu is currently available for $17.99.
What’s new in version 1.2.0
- Nambu can now be installed on a Mac with Apple silicon and plugged into Garage Band, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and other AUv3 compatible host apps. It cannot be installed on Macs with Intel CPUs.
- A keyboard position modulation setting has been added to each Envelope parameter. This allows you to create Envelope modulations in which the higher the note, the shorter the decay time.
- The method of displaying the control panel with basic parameters such as volume has been changed. It can be displayed from the knob icon button in the header. On the iPad standalone, it is still located to the left of the keyboard as before.
- Other small fixes and improvements.
Nabu is a semi-modular FM synthesizer that incorporates modern ideas, not designed to recreate the sound and workflow of a vintage FM synthesizer.

Note
NAMBU is not compatible with vintage FM synthesizers and you cannot import those patches into NAMBU.
