iceWorks have made Laplace available to MacOS users having previously been an iOS only synth. Laplace is currently available for $9.99.
Laplace is a physical-modeling synthesizer based on resonator synthesis that makes it easy to create bowed string, plucked string, blown pipe and metallic sounds. But it is designed not to reproduce real acoustic instruments but to create new synthesizer sounds in different new ways.
Notes
- Note that depending on the parameter settings, loud sound may be produced.
- This product is not suitable for the purpose of accurately reproducing the sound of acoustic instruments or other synthesizers.
- This product can be installed on Macs with Apple silicon, but not on Macs with Intel CPUs. The window size of this product cannot be changed in Ableton Live.
- This product mainly contains basic presets that are useful as a starting point for sound creation. Please note that there are no huge amount of presets. Enjoy making sounds.

You can use this AUv3 plugin in a host application that supports Audio Unit Extensions (AUv3).
Laplace is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and Apple Silicon Mac. Please note that it is not compatible with Macs with Intel CPUs.
The standalone App is Audiobus compatible; in the case of the AUv3 plug-in, compatibility depends on the host App’s specifications. Live audio can be streamed directly to Audiobus compatible applications.
The standalone App supports Ableton Link; for AUv3 plug-ins, it depends on the host App’s specifications whether it supports it or not. Link is a technology that aligns the timing of multiple devices on a local network.
You can share your presets with other users. You can add presets created by other users to your preset library using the iOS Share Extension feature.
