TAQS.IM have announced the forthcoming updated release of SOLO. There’s no firm information on the availability of SOLO 2 however TAQS.IM have indicated it’ll be some time early May. SOLO 2 will be available as a free update to existing users with version 1 currently being made available at a discounted price, no only $89.00, (usually $189.00). The offer ends April 17th.

What’s new:
- The update includes a new modern UI the brings page-based views to easily edit sounds, microtonal scales and tailor MIDI controls along with providing enhanced visual feedback.
- The sound engine has also been redesigned from the ground up to include more natural envelopes, optimized filters and redesigned oscillators. The full sound library has been optimized to take advantage of the enhancements.
- Expressive control features have been added, allowing the player to tailor the velocity and glide curve for each sound. SOLO also now performs better with Wind Controllers and MPE capable instruments.

The flexible modulation matrix allows you to use the 2 LFO’s and other controllers to drive parameters throughout the synthesizer.
Change the LFO type, rate, rate attack, depth, and depth attack to modulate the filter, oscillator, effects, and more!
Use the on-board studio-quality EQ, Distortion, Phaser, Delay and Reverb to shape your sound. These effects are designed to be used aggressively as you hear in a lot of popular world music – so slap on some distortion and delay and get to it!
