Free Radicals is the result of a collaboration between over 100 sound designers from the community, as well as our team. We have created the darkest, most twisted and most insane instrument ever. This is not for the faint of heart! This is for the brave and the bold who dare to explore the unknown and the unpredictable.
Free Radicals is not your typical sample library. It is a collection of sonic experiments that challenge the conventional notions of what music and sound can be. Each sound in Free Radicals is a personal expression of what sonic beauty means to the creator, and the result is a diverse and eclectic mix of styles, genres, textures and moods. From haunting drones and eerie atmospheres, to glitchy beats and distorted synths, Free Radicals will take you on a journey through the dark corners of sound.
There are dark ambiences in every corner. The Viral Ambiences: tonal, gritty, and rhythmic, will take you to a dark dimension where sound is the only living organism. The many varieties of Bacterial hits, long and short, will take you on a journey through the diverse world of microbial life, where binary fission captivates the ears. These sounds are perfect for creating dark atmospheres, eerie soundscapes, disturbing textures and more. The sounds are so dark, your listeners may need a dose of penicillin.
And if you are feeling adventurous, you can also dive into the deep-sampled collection of microwave sounds. Yes, you read that right. We have recorded and processed the sounds of true microwaves to clean off some of the contagions. You will be amazed by what you can do with these sounds.
But that’s not all. Free Radicals also includes a variety of parasitic risers both long and short – so tense and suspenseful you can feel the sounds crawling under your skin Free Radicals is not a conventional sample library. It is not trying to be polite or polished. This is raw, hardcore crazy sampling. It is unexpected and chaotic. Impossible to tame and with a brain burning sound to it. It is the sound of the neo post-apocalypse. We triple dare you … try to make it even darker!
