Impact Soundworks have released MB Gordy Percussion: Boobams, a “secret weapon” tonal percussion instrument, available at the intro price of $49.00, increasing to $59.00 after the promotion.
Constructed of rectangular bamboo tubes of varying sizes, Boobams have a woody sound that can range from tight and punchy to more full-bodied. They have a long history in Hollywood (appearing in Planet of the Apes and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, among others), and they’re perfect for film, game, and TV scores.
This library started as a collaboration between acclaimed Hollywood percussionist and drummer M.B. Gordy and game, film, and TV composer Lennie Moore. When Lennie reached out to us about joining this collaboration, we were thrilled — and now we’re excited to be sharing it with you.
Features include:
- 3 individual mics/mixes
- 4 hit types (implements)
- Deep chromatic sampling
- 24 inspiring snapshots
- Sound-shaping controls
- Microtuning engine
- Solo and ensemble modes
- CONSOLE FX rack and mixer
