David Hilowitz has released Stella Mandolin & Warps for Decent Sampler, available as a FREE download.
The Stella Mandolin & Wharps pack captures the charming plucked sound of a bowl back mandolin from the early 1900s. The pack also includes bonus cinematic pads.
The instrument sampled is a Stella Bowlback Mandolin from the early 1900s. Stella was one of several brands made by the Oscar Schmidt Company which, at the time, was one of the biggest manufacturers of musical instruments in the first half of the 20th century.

- Mandolin – Main (plucks)
- Mandolin – Main (with string muting)
- Mandolin – Warps 1 thru 8: 8 Cinematic pad sounds produced by running the mandolin through various effects pedals (Microcosm, Mood, Habit, Generation Loss)
