Soundiron have released Rainsong, a Kontakt library created from a variety of natural rain ambiences and raindrop sound effects. Rainsong is available as a FREE download.
Rainsong is a collection of rain audio files Soundiron created as part of a Rainy Day songwriting competition in April 2020. Each nature field recording has been carefully captured in wide stereo. You’ll find sounds of rain hitting car hoods, downspouts, traffic, thunder storms, bird calls in the forest, and more. After getting thoroughly soaked, Soundiron added a series of one shot drips and impacts you can use to easily make your own aqua percussion or uniquely wet sound effects.
Once Soundiron warmed up by the fire, they sound designed 58 ambient pads, atmospheres, drones and environments using the raw source content. These can be played on their own as synth pads, leads, and plucks, or blended in with the field recordings and SFX for a polished production-ready mix using our flexible four layer GUI. Overall, Rainsong allows you to layer custom electric soundscapes, perform water-based synthesis, and generate a sonic storm of creativity.
