Mode Audio sent some samples from their Smoke Signals Trip Hop sample pack. They are beautifully recorded loops of acoustic drummers performing beats in the Trip Hop genre. There are elements of rap, jazz, and soul drumming in each loop, all in the style popularized by groups like Portishead, Massive Attack, and DJ Shadow.
The resulting samples and Ableton Live Drum Racks are full of groove and power, ready for any genre of music!
Brian sliced the loops and chopped them into playable Ableton Live Drum Racks. Each rack has the feel and groove of the human drummer, with the added ability to rearrange the beats on the fly.
