Ueberschall have released Reggae Journey, an expansion for Elastik, available for €49.00.
Reggae Journey is the starting point for a journey through the different varieties of reggae. The five comprehensive construction kits focus on one-drop beats, which have always been at the heart of the classic reggae sound. The library is filled with warm basslines, reggae-typical rhythm and lead guitars, as well as old-school piano and organ phrases with syncopated bubble rhythms. Catchy brass lines round off the library. Reggae Journey takes you straight to the Caribbean.
Reggae Journey contains 2GB of samples consisting of 430 loops in five fully featured construction kits. Each construction kit contains between 2 and 4 parts as well as additional intros and outros. The original tempos range from 65 to 78 BPM for an authentic, relaxed feel, but you can easily adjust both tempo and key using Elastik’s powerful tool set. With loops of up to 29 seconds in length, the song sections offer a lot of variety and make it easy to create complete song arrangements.
The drums are provided as a pre-mixed stereo loop as well as individual tracks for bass drum, snare drum (with dry and reverb/delay versions), hi-hat, toms, cymbals and various percussion instruments such as shakers, guiros and timbales. The instrument selection includes electric guitars, basses, acoustic piano, organs, synthesizers and brass instruments. There are a number of different guitar phrases for each Construction Kit Part. This includes a dry version of the basic rhythm and various alternative lines, which are provided with effects such as reverb, distortion, delay, wah, tremolo and chorus.
