Dustbin

To celebrate International Joke Day 2022, we wanted to make an audio plugin. This plugin had to be a bit different. We started by creating a dustbin sound system (garbage can for our American friends). We got a real dustbin and put some speakers in it! After it all was done, we ended up with an interesting creative audio effect plugin called Dustbin!

This plugin will litter-ally change your life. Stop wasting time, you can’t refuse it any longer. Take everything you thought you knew about music production and throw it out.

Imagine you left two easily entertained idiots alone with a dustbin, amp, speaker, some microphones, and a worrying idea. Well actually, you don’t have to imagine at all, because Dustbin is here to answer those musical questions you never asked.

Pick your way through the impulse responses taken from the Bin’s cavity and built-in speaker. Transform your Garage into Garbage, Rap into Scrap, Pop into Slop, Punk into Junk, and New Age into Sewage.

No more worrying about IF your music sounds trash, now it definitely does. You’re welcome.

Choric

Control whether the whole signal or a specific frequency range is affected using a Low-Pass, Band-Pass or High-Pass filter. Refine it further with ‘Cutoff’ and ‘Resonance’ control. Add texture by pitch shifting your incoming audio from -12 to + 12 semitones, retain character with ‘Preserve Formants’ and balance the dry/wet signal using ‘Pitch Amount’. With 2 to 32 powerful voices, use ‘Rate’ to set speed, ‘Phase’ to spread modulation phase and ‘Depth’ to set intensity. Spread the timing of the voices using ‘Looseness’. Use ‘Spread’ to to pan voices over the stereo field, ‘Flip CH’ to invert modulation in the right channel and use ‘Width’ to apply mid/side widening. Add some character with ‘Warm’ mode; bringing 3.5dB of analogue saturation. Engage ‘Dark’ mode to roll off the high frequencies of the audio. Choric works fantastically in a variety of uses and comes jam-packed with 50 presets in Classic, Guitar, Keys, Synth, Vocal and Misc Folders.

  • Produce thick, rich chorus textures with up to 32 voices.
  • Explore traditional chorus sounds and natural realistic unisons.
  • Add movement and character to your tracks with unique modulation shapes.
  • Enjoy the straightforward, elegant design in your new and powerful chorus effect.

Flux Pro

Flux Pro is a multi-FX modulation plugin that transforms your sounds into colourful, characterful and dynamic tracks.

Do you want to add graceful stereo waves to your keys, dirty pulsing side-chains to your bass, complex striking filters to your synths or noisy mechanical glitches to your drums? Modulation is king and we’re offering you the throne.

There are 3 customisable graphs which can perfectly sculpt your sound. Simply set the depth of the controls in the 4 effects slots, from which you can use a variety of 10 modulation effects. Are you in a hurry and need movement quickly? Easily drag 1 of the 48 built-in shapes onto the graph for fast and effective modulation.

Beef

Beef is a multi-effect audio plugin with a sole purpose, to make your tracks sound BEEFY. It brings all the effects you need to create powerful sounds into one efficient and easy to use window.

Beef was originally built to focus on creating the fattest basses and drums as possible. If you’re tired of folder-diving through 808 samples and want to sculpt your own hard-hitting basses with ease, then look no further. Beyond its original aim, Beef will make anything sound massive, even the most feeble audio. From guitars to vocals and from synths to foley, flex your proverbial biceps and BEEF THEM UP.

Tweaking parameters not your thing? You just want a great and immediate sound? Enjoy beef’s built-in ‘Preset Mode’ which removes everything except the mix control for ease of trying presets. When in this mode, the mix control will not change so that you can find and compare your perfect sound from our selection of 124 presets.

85 of these are artist presets from some of our favourite content creators and friends; Ali Ahmet, Ave Mcree, Gavinski’s Tutorials, Jamie Mallender, Nu-Trix The Synth Guy, The GarageBand Guide, The REAPER blog & Venus Theory.

Schlap

Schlap is a characterful, colourful and aggressive sounding program-dependent AUv3, IAA & standalone compressor. It takes inspiration from hardware RMS compressors of the past and evolves them into a modern setting. If you want your tracks to be energetic, in-your-face and bold, make ‘em ‘Schlap’.

The compressor uses a program-dependent attack and release influenced by old hardware which makes the compression sound characterful and dynamic.

The RMS detection means that Schlap detects the average loudness of a signal, resulting in sudden short peaks being uncompressed so that they can attack hard and sound heavy hitting. Also inherently in RMS detection, there is a slight delay in compression which allows the initial, early transients to sneak through uncompressed so they keep their punch.

You’ve got a safe, controlled track you think you’re happy with, but you have to ask yourself… ‘Does it Schlap?’

Smoov

Smoov is a soft, clean and transparent sounding program-dependent AUv3, IAA & standalone compressor. It takes inspiration from hardware compressors of the past, however it focuses on peak detection meaning that it can quickly and effortlessly react to incoming signals and blend them in with the surrounding audio field. When a busy track needs taming, Smoov softly settles your tracks elegantly.

The compressor also uses a program-dependent envelope influenced by old hardware, which can soften anything you throw at it.

Is a chaotic track starting to get to you? Maybe you should make it a little more ‘Smoov’.

Tape Pro

Tape Pro is a multi-fx tape emulation AUv3 plugin and app that introduces warmth, frequency shaping, modulation, noise and delay. Whether you want to accurately replicate a microcassette tape running at 1.2cm/s, or you want to drive a mastering grade tape machine with strange distortion shapes into a high feedback delay engine, Tape Pro is the plugin for the job.

The saturation module is the first part of the signal chain within Tape Pro. It’s very flexible as it isn’t restricted to the traditional sound of tape and can be used to tune into your desired distortion sound. The module has 5 user parameters: Type, Drive, Asymmetry, Hysteresis and Remanence. The types of saturation on offer are: Tape, Digital, Rectify, Half-Rectify, Sine & Smooth.

The response module within Tape Pro models the dynamic frequency response of tape. This can bring warmth, presence, or even jarring qualities to your audio – this is entirely subjective of course! The module has 3 user parameters: Type, Low Pass & High Loss. Tape Pro includes the following impulse responses:

Cassette Type 1, Cassette Type 2, Cassette Type 4, Worn Copi-Delay, New Copi-Delay, Mod Copi-Delay, Master SA812, Master TM15, Microcassette 1.2cm/s, Microcassette 2.4cm/s, Semi-Pro RB77 7.5ips & Semi-Pro RB77 15ips. Tape Pro also includes Minimum Phase (MP) versions of the IRs listed above (not including the copi-delay versions). If you are using Tape Pro in parallel, on a bus or on a send, we recommend that a minimum phase IR is used. (For more information on this please see the explanation in the manual available from our website).

The Noise module applies real, sampled tape noises to the signal chain. The module has 4 user parameters: Type, Pre/Post Delay, Gain & Crosstalk. The noises included are the same as listed above in the response module.

The Wow and Flutter module emulates the natural irregularities in the physical medium of tape. Wow recreates the low speed fluctuations of tape speed, while Flutter recreates the high speed fluctuations. The modules have 10 parameters in total. Wow: Depth, Sync, Rate, Mod, Sync x2 and Mod Rate. Flutter: Depth, Rate, Mod, Mod Rate.

The Delay module is an emulation of an analogue tape delay machine. The module has 11 user parameters: Dry, Wet, Time L, Time R, Feedback L, Feedback R, Portamento, Enable, Initial, Sync and Link.
