Psychic Modulation Release VectoMelt2

Psychic Modulation have released VectoMelt2, available at the intro price of $54.00, increasing to $69.00 after the promotion. The offer ends January 20th.

VectoMelt2 is a multi-FX modulation plugin that brings your sounds to life with tonal texture, spatial drifting, and ethereal atmosphere. A dub-friendly environment for sonic exploration, VectoMelt2 uses an XY Melt Vector that can be set on auto-pilot for pitch glitches, resonant blips and filter swirls.

The onboard effects provide lush choruses, filter sweeping and washed out echoes. Add in some LoFi vibe with a dedicated knob that gives you just the right amount of satisfying crunch.

Move through the XY Vector to control the drifting, warbling and glitchy instability. X mixes between Flow and Flutter, Y increases the effect. Set the axis point to autopilot using the AutoMod, creating shapes and patterns with the occasional ‘Pitch Glitch’ jumping in and out of orbit. The Melt Vector will give your sound instant character and ‘VHS Vibes’.

This versatile Chorus gives your sound a lush character and spacious feel. While geared toward more traditional applications, the Chorus has a considerable range that can be used to get more interesting and unusual results. The Feedback control takes things a little further, giving the effect a more aggressive sound. The strength of this effect though, lies with the Spread control, which can create rich, spatialized effects.

The Phltr effect is a unique Phaser/Filter combo unit. It uses an 8-stage peak filter which can be modulated by the Melt Vector to create a Phaser sound. This is accompanied by an additional filter stage that can be set to Low, High or Band pass. Both Peaks and Cutoff can be controlled by the Vector when their corresponding Y-Axis buttons are activated.

A versatile, ‘hands on’ dub delay unit full of interesting features to explore. This delay can do everything from subtle ambience and slapbacks to spaced-out atmospheric washes. Use the Beat Factor to juggle between two different delay timings. Drive the feedback into over-the-top saturation, or filter it out to give your echoes a smooth character. Switch on the Loop button for endless repetitions. Send some Melt into the signal for an ever-evolving sound source. The Echo can enter the Melt realm of the Vector for adding subtle character and echo drifting.

Features include:

  • XY modulation vector.
  • Flow and Flutter: Analog-style drifting, instability and random fluctuations that are mixed at two different speeds using the X axis.
  • Multiple targets for modulation include: Pitch, Amp, Phltr and Echo; Y axis controls the overall mod depth.
  • AutoMod: A modulator for the XY pad made up of Orbit (to circle the XY point), and Jump (to jump out of orbit sporadically).
  • Multi-FX include:
    • Chorus: A lush chorus with multi-voice stereo spread.
    • Phltr: A unique filter with phaser like qualities.
    • Echo: A dub-style delay unit.
    • Lo-Fi: A single control for band-splitting saturation.
