vPlayer 4 is a standalone VST/AU host developed for playing live an audio plugin rig on stage or while doing a rehearsal, for jamming with virtual synths or for quick testing new plugins, all without the need to use any DAW, which is usually more complex to setup. vPlayer 4 acts as a wrapper to turn any vst/au into a standalone application.

While a traditional DAW can be used for live performance, many musicians prefer the stability and ease of use that comes with dedicated VST hosts.

vPlayer 4 allows playing up to 8 vst/au instruments at same time using up to 4 different midi keyboards, so you can join a quick loading jamming session with your friends.

Each slot includes 1 virtual instrument plugin section and 1 effect plugin section. Each effect plugin section can be used also as an additional instrument plugin section, playing up to 8 instruments at same time.

Parallel mode allows using 4 independent slots while Serial mode allows playing 1 virtual instrument through 7 effect plugins or to process audio input through 8 effect plugins.

vPlyer 4 allows using a microphone or external audio through your soundcard. Built-in audio player included.

Play up to 4 midi keyboards at same time. vPlayer allows playing 1 midi keyboard for each plugin slot or to use the same midi keyboard for all the slots.

Process master output through 2 vst/au plugins.

Stereo & Multitrack recrording. Multitrack mode allows recording each plugin slot audio output to individual audio tracks.

Built-in Midi Player allows playing up to 4 midi files at same time. Midi recording allows exporting a midi file from each plugin slot.

Features include:

  • Play up to 8 VST/AU instruments at same time
  • Play up to 4 MIDI devices at same time
  • Microphone & external audio input
  • Built-in audio player
  • Built-in MIDI files player
  • Multi-track & stereo recording
  • MIDI recording
