Unagated is a gating and envelope-shaping effect plugin. Unagated includes a set of special features not found in products made by other companies.
Envelope & Transient Shaping
Delay the onset of the attack envelope and shorten the duration of notes with “Delay Attack” and “Force Release.” Alter rhythmic texture using “Hold Closed” and “Skip Beats.”
Change the range from, say, -60dB to -3dB, and manipulate transients. For example, increase or decrease the punchiness of drums with “Delay Attack” and “Force Release.”
Anti-Clicking Technology
Noise gates can create a clicking sounds when either the attack or release times are very short. Unagated includes a “suppress clicking” option that virtually eliminates these noises. This feature runs in real-time and without look-ahead.
Carefully Tuned Envelopes
Unagated uses a release envelope that mimics the decay of an acoustic instrument. There are also two attack envelopes options. One envelope models the envelope of an analog synthesizer. The other uses a smooth gradual volume swell that can be more perceptually pleasing with longer attack times.
Other Features
Unagated features also include side chaining, hysteresis control, ducking, strong trigger signal filtering, look-ahead, independent/linked channel processing, and surround sound/multi-channel support. You can also combine different channel formats for the input, output, and sidechain.
