Percussion Factory includes a sizable preset library with over 500 hand-crafted kits, including a huge range of genres and styles from modern production to regional ensembles from Africa, India, the Middle East, North and South America, the Caribbean and more. It can be used as a ready-to-go percussion section, or in combination with powerful sound design tools and effects like Crusher, Flanger, Frequency Shifter, EQ, Delay, and IR Reverb as a creative rhythm designer. In addition to kits, all sounds are available individually, accessible from a handy and well-organized browser, meanwhile user sample support is available via drag-and-drop, allowing for sequencing and processing of your own sounds.
The sequencer section of Percussion Factory includes a number of innovative features such as sample auto-alignment, dynamic sequence modifiers, morphable groove and more. All samples have been pre-processed to determine their rhythmic high-point and are automatically snapped to the sequencer grid providing exceptionally tight transient profiles, meanwhile a morphable groove engine and per-part offset allow you to push and pull your sequences off-grid at will.
Percussion Factory’s ‘Sound’ editor gives you full control over each sounds amplitude profile, pitch, and multimode filter. The filter’s cutoff includes a probabilistic cutoff control, allowing you to easily introduce a variable/humanistic quality to your sound. Meanwhile each part’s FX section delivers a number of creative effects including Crusher, Flanger, Frequency Shifter, EQ, and sends for Delay and IR Reverb with a massive selection of impulse responses, giving you everything you need to make subtle mix corrections or radical sound shaping.
