Blind Audio presents Somnum Aeternum – Ambient Hip Hop. Fusing nostalgic soundscapes, melancholy vocals, and degraded hip-hop beats to bring you a unique take on lo-fi beat-making. Atmosphere and exploration take centre stage, focusing on using the unnatural to create organic moments & textural beats.
Hazy drums, blurred synths, and smeared vocals give Somnum Aeternum its distinctive sound. We’ve not held back on the processing; plenty of saturation, pitch-shifting, time-stretching & modulation has been used to add heaps of texture and grit to the sounds – layering it all together and running the results through ethereal reverbs & dreamy delays bring home that dense ambient feeling.
All loops are rendered at 90 BPM and in the key of Fm. Mix and match loops or use them in combination with your own sounds to create something brand-new.
