Akai Professional have released Sub Factory, available as a plugin and for MPC standalone users available at the intro price of $39.99, increasing to $79.99 after the promotion.
While it’s tempting to rest on the laurels of its classic 808 bass presets, Sub Factory pushes beyond. With its dual wavetable engines and an additional sample engine, you’re handed the keys to a broader sonic palette.

Sub Factory offers two wavetable engines, each with hundreds of waves to choose from, covering everything from classic analog, edgy digital, right through to quirky hybrid waves. Each waves has 127 index points to give even further customization. If that’s not enough then there’s a third sample based engine, featuring kick, 808 loops, shots and kicks, plus noise and FX samples too. There’s sample start and delay, plus reverse, pitch and filter.
