Kompose Audio Release Vitrics

Kompose Audio have released Vitrics, available for £5.00 / $6.00 / €6.95.

Vitrics is a Kontakt Instrument that sends you on a sonic journey, crafted from the delicate tones of wine glasses. Yes, you read that right! We gathered an array of wine glasses, set up the microphones, and captured their magical sounds, each glass resonating with different strikes (soft, medium, and hard), both empty and filled with varying amounts of liquid. The result? A collection of raw recordings that surprised us with their depth and crystal-clear clarity.

While there are plenty of instruments out there that use wine glasses, Vitrics stands out with its unique, enchanting qualities. As an ambient soundscape composer, I can say it offers something truly special – imagine delicate, shimmering tones that infuse your compositions with a touch of magic and mystery.

Once the recording session was complete, every sample was meticulously isolated and tuned in the editing suite, ensuring each glass’s unique voice was perfectly captured.

Vitrics features three mesmerizing presets, each designed with 8 smart controls, allowing you to shape and mold the sounds to fit your sonic vision perfectly. Whether you’re looking to add subtle depth or create a distinct character, these controls make it easy to craft the exact sound you’re after.

Each preset is divided into two sections: a lower pad section and a playable glass instrument. The lower pad section is created by gently circling around the top of the wine glass, producing long, haunting tones reminiscent of a glass harp being played—rich, characterful, and truly captivating.

The playable glass instruments combine different glass samples, woven together with a rich tapestry of effects and filters, offering a unique and immersive sound experience.

And there’s more! Vitrics is the first instrument I’ve developed with a multi-language user interface. Simply click the ‘Show/Hide Language’ button, and a selection of 11 country flags will appear, allowing you to choose your preferred interface language. I might be bold in saying this, but I believe this could be the first Kontakt Instrument ever to offer this feature!

Vitrics requires a full version of Kontakt 7.10.2 or later.
