Loopmasters and Loopcloud have announced the recent addition of Japan EDM by Loopmasters.
Loopmasters proudly presents Japan EDM, an electrifying collection created by Diana Sound Entertainment, a well-known music production company based in Kawasaki City. Drawing inspiration from Japan’s iconic electronic dance group, Perfume, this sample pack merges the vibrant energy of EDM with the distinctive quality of Japanese music.
A hallmark of Japanese music is its intricate structure, featuring dynamic development through various chord progressions in the Verse A-melody, Verse B-melody (pre-chorus), and chorus, which brings dramatic rises and falls throughout the song.
Vocals in Japanese music are notable for their frequent pitch changes and fluid, melodious tones, reflecting the soft pronunciation of the Japanese language. As you can hear in the demo, it makes it incredibly easy to overlay or create beautiful melodies that fit seamlessly into the instrumental tracks.
While traditional instruments once defined the genre, modern Japanese pop has evolved, blending global influences while retaining its signature elements. Despite the genre differences, the melodies remain the heart of Japanese pop music, and this sample pack offers uniquely ‘vocal-friendly’ loops that honor that tradition.
Japan EDM includes four comprehensive kits with a wide range of elements, such as bass guitars, synthesized basslines, electric guitars, pianos, vibrant vocals, and vocoders. There are also drums and effects, ensuring you never run out of creative options.
Diana Sound Entertainment’s studio is equipped with high-end equipment, including ATC SCM25a Pro monitor speakers, ADAM S2V monitors, and Neumann KH750 DSP subwoofers. The production process for Japan EDM utilized industry-leading DAWs such as ProTools and Cubase, along with NEVE preamps.
Some of the guitars and vocals were recorded with the legendary Focusrite RED7, delivering a rich, natural, and silky sound, enhanced by the Neumann U87, BLUE Microphones Bottle (tube mic), and the MANLEY Reference Cardioid mic.
