Expanse 3 is the final chapter in the trilogy for Omnisphere 2, bringing the themes and timbres of the first two volumes full circle, with an emphasis on immediate and playable presets that spark creativity and ignite the imagination.
Consisting of 110 presets, Expanse 3 takes us to the remote regions of the Milky Way, with luscious slowly evolving pads that reach deep into the cosmos, extracting a range of textures from warm and vintage to cold and futuristic. Complex layered soundscapes provide endless motion, evoking the mystery of space and yet-to-be realized technologies.
Dynamic poly synths and delicate plucks span a wide sonic palette, from retro to ultra-modern. Crystalline bells and fractured keys provide a versatility that goes far beyond ambient. Long and nuanced cinematic leads evoke both well known science fiction classics as well as forward thinking timbres.
Filling out the set are a plethora of instantly usable arpeggios and sequences, running the gamut from pillowly plucks and ethereal vocal chops to modular explorations. Deep sub basses underline the set with unique character and analog presence. Capping everything off are inspiring widescreen sci-fi transition effects.
