Fernando Morales has released an update for Piano Motifs with new additions and fixes, currently available for only $3.99 with optional in-app purchases that unlock MIDI out, AUv3 support and a tip jar.
What’s new in version 4.85:
- Added a Voice Leading option for the Arpeggio Sequence Accomp Style. Specify the first bar arpeggio sequence and the app will create a Voice Leading arpeggio for the subsequent bars.
- Added tonic note options (1T, 3T, 5T) for individual steps of the Arpeggio Sequence Accomp Style.
- Added a randomize button (dice icon) for the Melody Sequence Setting.
- Added new options for the Pedal Point Accomp Style.
- Added a Smart option for the Accomp Last Bar Setting. When this option is selected the app will determine if it should use a Chord or a Bass note on the last bar of the motif depending on the Accompaniment.
- You can now control the Ascending/Descending Melody Constraint octave span by specifying it using the Octaves Min-Max setting. Before, this setting was overriden.
- Improved the melody generation algorithm for more variety.
- Added an Audition button in the Program Chord Progressions Screen, so you can listen to the different chords without adding them to the progression.
- Fixed bug when using the User Defined Melody Constraint with the Chord option selected. The wrong notes were being generated.
- Fixed crash that sometimes occurred when using Append Mode.
- Fixed crash that sometimes occurred when using the Note Sustain Mult Bar Accomp Style.
