Rasp makes any audio sound gritty, noisy and raspy. While it is not a conventional distortion effect, its sound is very similar to distortion.
Rasp can add subtle hoarseness to vocals. It can make drums sound gritty. It will add noise to any instrument track, and it is a great tool for creative automation, filtering and transition effects. It can also be used for the creation of pad sounds as well as over-the-top fuzz effects.
Rasp is available to Windows users (VST3).
