Batallion & Needlepoint
Use Battalion’s extensive synthesis engines, sequencing capabilities, and massive sample library to create the perfect drum foundation—then run it through Needlepoint’s deeply modeled vinyl environment. Add subtle hiss, crackle, and warmth or push into broken, warped territory. It’s the ultimate toolset for giving your drums that timeless, sampled-from-wax vibe without needing a record player.
Battalion combines software depth with hardware-style playability. It offers eight drum voices, each switchable between synthesizer engines and sample playback. Over twenty synthesis types (FM, Additive, Modal, VOSIM, and more) and multiple sample manipulation techniques (granular, phase distortion, spectral cloning) provide enormous sonic variety. Shape your drums further with eight mappable modulation sources per voice, built-in Headspace Reverb and Shatter Delay, and a 3-Band Maximizer.
The powerful sequencer features polymetric and polyrhythmic manipulation, algorithmic pattern generation, randomization options, and a Variation Engine for natural or completely generative patterns. Battalion is designed to perform—from the studio to the stage—with a graphic interface that encourages creativity.
Needlepoint uses physical modeling to generate dust, scratches, and warping as if your audio was pressed onto a record. Control turntable speeds (even sync to your DAW), adjust WOW and FLUTTER, and engage BROKEN mode for glitchy loops and stutters. SPINDOWN recreates classic turntable start/stop effects, while the single-knob compressor and granular pitch shifting give you even more tonal shaping possibilities. Lion & LO-FI-AF
LION is a deep, versatile synthesizer designed for fast patching, endless experimentation, and intuitive sound design. It features a dual-oscillator architecture, each with 26 oscillator modes ranging from classic waveforms to cutting-edge microsound techniques.
