Nunchuck is inspired (but not limited) by the iconic JCM800©, an amplifier that has graced so many memorable Rock and Metal hits over the decades. We took the DNA of the JCM and added exciting new features to elevate the experience and versatility.
Nunchuck captures the perfect storm of breakup cleans, crunchy rhythm, heavy metal distortion and wild shred tones, and beyond. When dialled back Nunchuck becomes a beautiful low-gain amplifier that can deliver tasteful Blues, Fusion and Progressive modern tones.
When combined with our brand new pre and post effects, including the ultra thrilling XPlode, plugging in your guitar has never been so inspiring.

The amplifier has 4 massive flavours bursting with tone :
- Clean – Rich, raunchy and incredibly versatile. Clean is a delight to play with or without pedals in front.
- Vintage – Based on a legendary ‘Crunch’ rhythm channel. With beautiful harmonic overtones, the ultimate sound of Rock!
- HotRod – Lower in gain with a more pronounced mid-range. HotRod is a total powerhouse for rhythm and lead. A true classic.
- Modern – Tight, aggressive and dynamic. Perfect for heavy riffs and screaming leads. Dial the gain back to reveal a more delicate side.
Nunchuck includes 4 Pre Effects:
- Wah – The sound of CryBoy Wah with Bite (Q) Control.
- MultiMod – Three timeless modulation effects, Chorus, Flanger, and Phaser. With pre and post amplifier position switching.
- Shadowpressor – A single knob compressor pedal that works just as well with distorted tones as it does with clean.
- XPlode – The Triple-Whammy ©- A whole new level of pitch. Choose the speed of the Rise and Fall, as well as the pitch value with two Xplode buttons. Set the pitch up to two octaves up or down for the expression pedal.
5 drives are included which include:
- Octaver – Powered by HyperTune, Octaver works for single notes and complex chords.
- Storm Drive – A modern powerhouse. Shape your gain to perfection, from gentle to brutal.
- Green Mamba – A modified icon with two modes, a classic overdrive and a distortion mode.
- Metal Charlie – When tamed Charlie can gently push your amp into overdriven happiness. When Charlie is cranked up he gets real angry… Be sure to have extra plectrums available.
- Kebamp – An amp in a pedal with three levels of gain. Shish being the mildest, Hot pushes the heat further and Spicy being the Carolina Reaper of distortion.
The EQ’s include:
- Mastering EQ – Add the finishing touch to your tone, with four unique shapes carefully optimised for each frequency.
- Shape EQ – Modified for Nunchuck 9 bands with Pre and Post switch.
20 Production-Ready speaker chains perfectly paired to each amplifier channel. Family switching allows you to mix and match speakers with different channels of the amp.
The Post effects include:
- Spring Plate – A reverb like no other.
- Short: Short ambience based on a classic Plate-140
- Medium: introduces a Tube Amp-style spring reverb into the Plate for a uniquely blended reverb.
- Long: increases the length of both the Plate and Spring reverb for a more ambient effect.
- Delay – Four modes, including Primal which places the delay in-front of your amplifier signal for a vintage echo. Use Ducking, Lo & High Cut to keep your guitar in focus.
- Reverb – An Incredibly transparent reverb that adds a rich stereo depth to your guitar tone.
250+ and growing collection of ultra-playable tones. Spanning storming riffs, vintage cleans, classic rock to lead tones that’ll keep in the zone.
