RV Audio Design have released Disseptor, available at the intro price of $29.99, increasing to $39.99 after the promotion. The offer ends March 1st.
Disseptor features five adjustable all-pass filters, each offering control over the phase and delay of frequencies. At high intensity, the filters create an audible delay effect, smearing out transients and adding punch to the sound. While lower intensity may not be audible at first, they become effective when combined with the distortion. These subtle phase shifts change the shape of the waveform, resulting in a different distortion character.
Phase shifts introduced by the filter section become audible when fed into the distortion. The distortion consists of 2 asymmetric soft clipping algorithms. Asymmetrical distortion creates even harmonics, which are usually perceived as adding warmth to the sound. Additionally, a built-in DC blocker removes any DC offset caused by the asymmetry. The plugin also features 16x linear phase oversampling for reducing aliasing effects.
Features include:
- 5 Allpass filters which can be changed in frequency, bandwidth and intensity
- 2 Distortion modes, one being more aggresive than the other
- Automatic Gain Compensation
- Asymmetrical distortion for creating a warmer sound
- Efficient 16x linear phase oversampling for anti-aliasing
- A DC Blocker for removing DC offset (0 HZ) caused by the asymmetry
Disseptor is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
