Drawing inspiration from the chilling intrigue of spy dramas and the stark, desolate beauty of Nordic thrillers, Frost II builds upon the cinematic darkness and intensity of the original Frost. This new dimension of dark sound design for U-He Zebra HZ is your key to the cold, dark unknown.
Frost II delivers 180 chilling Dark Zebra synth patches ranging from gritty underscore loops, arpeggios and tenses pulses, sparse and dark in nature, complemented by distorted and atonal basslines that provide a menacing edge, along with subtle ambient pads, and ethereal drifty synths. Together, these synth elements weave stories that are as unsettling as they are beautiful – evoking moments of stark isolation and breathtaking melancholy.
Inspired by composers such as Martin Phipps (Black Doves), Frans Bak (The Killing), Petur Thor Benediktsson (The Valhalla Murders), Marco Beltrami (The Snowman, A Quiet Place), Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Killer, The Girls with the Dragon Tatoo), Juri Seppä (Deadwind) and, last but not least, Jóhann Jóhannsson & Hildur Guðnadóttir (Trapped).
Frost II is designed for the Dark Zebra HZ, included in Zebra Legacy. Installation is effortless – simply drag and drop the soundset onto Zebra’s interface. This one-click process installs all 180 Dark Zebra synth patches along with all NKS files, ensuring full compatibility with Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol. A PDF guide is also included.
