The Yamaha CS-80 is one of the most iconic and revered synths of all time. Released in 1977, it was one of the first polyphonic synthesizers on the market, offering incredible analog sounds combined with groundbreaking expressive controls. Vangelis called it “the greatest synthesiser ever made” and used it extensively on the legendary Blade Runner soundtrack.
MPC CS80 is MPC Samples’ tribute to this extraordinary synthesizer, featuring rich and powerful analog sounds of the CS80 combined with the FX, filters and LFOs of the MPC to produce a collection of highly expressive instruments for all modern MPCs and Akai Force.
The expansion features 100 ready-to-play keygroup instruments built from over 1700 CS80 multisamples, offering a sublime range of analog basses, keys, leads, pads, strings, plucks, brass and percussion for any modern music style.
Each instrument has been fully set up for you, with an array of expressive controls including pre-mapped Q-LINK macros for hands-on control of many essential sonic elements including additional sub, harmonic and noise oscillators to add further texture, tone and complexity to your sounds. Shape each instrument to your exact taste for an almost plugin-like experience.
All instruments are memory optimised so you can load up as many instruments as your project needs; and as they utilise the MPC keygroup engine you won’t have to sacrifice any plugin slots.
MPC Samples provide drag and drop installers for standalone MPC/Force and MPC Software/MPC Beats, along with a detailed installation and usage guide. All instruments feature a baked-in browser previews and are fully organised and ‘tagged’ for rapid browser searching.
