Funk Bass is an extensive loop pack with funky slap bass, fingerstyle, plectrum and legato grooves. The library is the perfect low-end starting point for your project. Funk Bass contains almost 500 loops and phrases with a total of 1.1 GB sample material. The tempo of the original recordings is between 90 and 126 BPM. Each phrase is 4 bars and up to 10 seconds long. Two different bass models were used. Most of the library was recorded on a 1970s musicman Stingray, while some fingered and plectrum loops were recorded on a Fender Jazz bass.
The loops in funk bass are arranged by playing techniques. The four main folders are Fingered, Slap, Plectrum and Legato. Each folder has up to 24 subfolders with a maximum of 12 thematically related performances. This makes it easy to create longer phrases and variations. Elastik’s high-quality algorithms make it possible to combine loops from different folders and thus expand the creative possibilities.
