Chaos Audio Release Rotissery

Chaos Audio have released Rotissery, available for $14.90.

Inspired by the legendary Hammond Leslie rotary speaker, Rotissery is a vintage rotary speaker effect, faithfully capturing the swirling, three-dimensional motion of air pushed by a spinning speaker. Modeled after the classic Leslie rotary speaker, Rotissery brings the unmistakable depth, movement and warmth of a true rotating cabinet to your rig.

The Fast/Slow toggle lets you shift between the classic slow rotary swirl (fixed at 49 BPM) and a dynamic fast mode, where the Rate knob dials in speeds from a gentle shimmer to a dizzying whirl. Like the real thing, transitioning between fast and slow modes naturally ramps up or down for an organic, responsive feel.

The Tone knob adjusts the balance between the simulated bass rotor and treble horn, allowing you to blend between a deeper, thumping low end and a brighter, more cutting high end to shape your perfect rotary sound.

The bass rotor always operates at 97% the RPM of the treble horn, as to emulate the slight difference in RPM between the two spinning rotors found in the real thing.

  • Fast/Slow Toggle: Switch between slow (49 BPM) and fast (164-654 BPM) speeds
  • Rate: Adjusts the rotary speed in fast mode
  • Depth: Controls the intensity of modulation
  • Drive: Adds amp-style gain for a warmer or grittier sound
  • Tone: Shapes the frequency response for a darker or brighter tone
