Sound Dust have released Terrible Wurlitzer, available as a FREE download.
Terrible Wurlitzer is a cut down instrument from the Wurlitzer Toolkit. Terrible Wurlitzer is a real Wurlitzer pitch-shifted up one octave through bad MPC 1000 hardware pitch shifting.
This is a Drift Free instrument made by recording the Wurli through the live pitch shifting algorithm of an MPC 1000. The Wurlitzer Toolkit has 4 unique sounds/instruments, one of them, Bad Wurlitzer, is made by recording every note with downward pitch-shifting – it sounds rather lovely/bad.
Terrible Wurlitzer is recorded with gnarly whole octave up pitch shifting – and sounds terrible, but great !
- 3 velocity layers
- 1 tremolo engine instead of 2
- No snapshots or rewiring

Terrible Wurlitzer requires a full version of Kontakt 6.7.1 or later.
