Audio Assault have released Chainsaw, available for $7.99.
Chainsaw takes the iconic buzzsaw tone of the HM-2 and reimagines it through the lens of a high-gain tube amp.
Instead of just emulating a pedal, it builds on the concept—preserving the mid-heavy grind and raw aggression, but adding the dynamics, depth, and feel of real tubes.
With two distinct modes, Chainsaw lets you switch between a tighter, more modern interpretation and a looser, filthier version that leans fully into the chaos.
It’s not a clone—it’s what the HM-2 might’ve become if it had been born in an amp head.
There are a few ways to get different chainsaw tones with this amp.
- Low gain, very high master
- Mid gain, high master
- High gain, upper master
- Turn the clarity knob all the way up to get a more normal sounding amp.
Chainsaw requires Amp Locker.
