Press Play Music have released Wave Breaker 2.0. The original Clarity One model remains fully functional in the free version of Wave Breaker. To unlock PeakMaster Pro and Clipper X, a paid license is required. The regular license price is $79.00 / €69.00. Wave Breaker is also available in a bundle with Wave Observer Pro for $88.00 / €79.00, offering about 20% saving compared to buying both separately.
Wave Breaker is a true-peak stereo limiter designed for precise control and instant visual feedback. It offers a range of professional limiter models and combines powerful signal processing with a streamlined interface – making it a versatile tool for engineers and producers alike.
Multiple limiter algorithms include:
- Clarity One – transparent, low-latency limiting for general use (FREE)
- PeakMaster Pro – high-precision limiting for mastering and critical applications
- Clipper X – the world’s hottest clipper
All models feature true-peak detection and 4x oversampling (at 44.1-48 kHz) to minimize aliasing distortion. A final safety limiter ensures the output always stays within the defined amplitude range, even in extreme cases.
Wave Breaker features a customizable color scheme and resizable interface, allowing it to integrate smoothly into different work environments. The interface is designed for efficiency, with real-time waveform displays and clear visual feedback that support an intuitive and focused workflow.
Limiter response can be fine-tuned using model-specific parameters to match the desired sound characteristics. Input gain sets the signal level entering the limiter, while output gain can be adjusted manually or normalized to a target peak level, offering flexible control over dynamics and loudness.
Wave Breaker 2.0 is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
