Rob Jackson has released ANALOGyXS, available for $2.99.
What’s new in version 1.1.0:
- Added new Gain parameter for setting the master volume of the synth (-48dB to +12dB).
- Added shortcut buttons (space permitting) to the main UI for the Default and Randomize presets.
- Added button bar to select different view modes:
- Added new factory Presets list view for browsing and setting factory presets.
- Added Help view to display user guide from within the plugin. Previously the user guide was only available in the standalone version.
- Added a few more factory presets – hope you like them!
- Other small tweaks and performance improvements.
ANALOGyXS (analog-ee ex ess) is a compact virtual analog 8-voice polyphonic synthesiser with a retro vibe. The synth might be “extra small” in terms of features, but it’s capable of producing some fairly complex sounds normally associated with plugins with dozens of parameters. That’s because there’s actually quite a lot going on “under the hood” of ANALOGyXS.
Rob wanted to create something that would allow him to quickly dial-in some of his all-time favourite synth sounds. Rob also wanted to create something for music-makers who might feel intimidated or overwhelmed with synth plugins with dozens of parameters and 100’s of presets. Alternatively, more experienced musicians might like to drop ANALOGyXS into a track just to get something going with a view to replacing it with something more fancy further down the line.

ANALOGyXS is a virtual instrument plugin that can run standalone, or in any AUv3 compatible host such as Logic Pro or GarageBand.
