The Grand Piano library features an instrument built by French maker Sébastien Érard in London in 1873. The piano offers a lithe, charming and warm sound, full of character, breathing with life. It was part of the Andreas Beurmann collection and remains in well-playable condition. It was built by Sébastien Érard in 1873 in London.
It was sampled with 32 samples per key to capture the vivid colors and dynamics range. The key release sounds were recorded with 4 round robin samples per key.In total, the library contains over 3,300 samples, originally recorded at 192 kHz/24 bit and downsampled to 44.1 kHz.Presets are included for Kontakt in its original pitch at 435 Hz, as well as presets at 440 Hz.
Additionally, the library contains an essay provided by Andreas E. Beurmann (1928-2016), describing the history of the instrument.
