Aria Sounds have released a plugin version of Aurora Choir (previously Kontakt only), available at the intro price of $89.00, increasing to $149.00 after the promotion.
Aria Sounds proudly reintroduces Aurora Choir, a beautifully crafted female choir sample library, now available as a standalone VST instrument built in Hise and compatible with all major DAWs — no Kontakt required.
Representing years of careful sampling, design, and refinement, Aurora Choir is built to deliver professional, lifelike choral performances with ease and control.
Aurora Choir features a unified interface where users can effortlessly switch between Soprano and Alto sections, offering flexible tonal options within a single instrument. Rich, emotive, and fluid, the choir’s expressive true legato transitions are captured across five distinct vowel articulations (ah, eh, ih, oh, ee/mm) and two dynamic layers, delivering 10 legato variations for maximum realism, not to mention the bonus mm articulation for altos.
At the heart of Aurora is an intuitive syllable sequencer, enabling real-time creation of authentic vocal phrases. Featuring 24 short syllables, each recorded at three dynamic levels, the library offers 72 total short-note variations. Simply arrange syllables using the interface, and Aurora Choir will perform them musically with responsive dynamics and smooth articulation. A dedicated key switch lets you reset phrases mid-performance for added control and variety.
Aurora Choir was recorded in a mid-sized hall to achieve the perfect balance of clarity and natural ambiance. Recorded in a mid-sized hall for a natural yet clear tone, Aurora Choir offers four mixable microphone positions—including close condenser mics, close ribbon mics, and ambient room options—captured at 24-bit / 48kHz resolution. The onboard reverb control allows you to tailor spatial depth to taste, and the library integrates seamlessly with your own external reverb and effects chains. In addition, there are several effect modules for added spatial effects and sound shaping.
