killihu have released Root Only, available as a FREE download. Donations are welcomed.
This plugin analyzes incoming chords and only sends the lowest note, which is usually the root note of the chord.
There are other similar plugins, but this one was requested by a user who wanted sustain pedal messages to be transmitted correctly through the plugin.
Root Only requires Ableton Live 10 / 11 / 12 with Max for Live (not included).
